Conveniently located in northwest Connecticut, Camp David is about two hours from New York City and less than three hours from Boston. Nestled just south of the Berkshires, it offers a quiet lakeside escape away from busy tourist crowds.

All guests enjoy complimentary use of kayaks, inflatables, outdoor grills, and fire pits, along with exclusive access to our 100-foot lakeshore and private dock.
The property is typically rented in its entirety to accommodate groups staying together. During certain times of the year—especially from May to mid-June and after mid-September—we may also offer reservations for individual cottages, depending on availability.

There are four cottages on the property — Lakefront, Viewpoint, Maplecrest, and Hilltop. Each cottage has its own modern kitchen and window AC units. Hilltop is separated by hedges from the other cottages and is typically reserved for the owner’s family but may occasionally be available depending on availability.
Lakefront and Viewpoint each have 3 bedrooms. Maplecrest has 7 bedrooms, and Hilltop has 4 bedrooms. Lakefront, Viewpoint, and Maplecrest together can accommodate about 25 guests. Hilltop can accommodate up to 9 additional guests. Each cottage includes bunk beds.
Yes. If the property is occupied by more than one party at the same time, each cottage will have access to a designated section of the 100-foot lakeshore.
Yes, guests are welcome to keep a boat at the dock during their stay.
Yes. The layout of the property allows guests staying in different cottages to comfortably spend time together while also having their own space to relax and enjoy the lakeside setting.
Yes. Many families enjoy staying at Camp David, especially the lake and water activities. Water depth starts at about one foot near the shoreline and increases to around three feet near the dock.
We provide life jackets, floats, and water games. Adult supervision is required at all times. There is also a recreation room with a ping-pong table, board games, toys, and arts and crafts.
Yes. Each cottage has its own outdoor grill and fire pit. We provide propane and firewood. Evenings by the fire are a favorite part of many guests’ stays.
Bantam Market, which specializes in gourmet foods, is less than a mile away. A much larger Stop ‘N Shop is located in nearby Litchfield, just 3 miles away.
Popular activities include hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, water-skiing, tubing, wine tasting, dining, and exploring the local area. The Bantam Lake area has miles of mostly level trails ranging from short walks to several-hour hikes.
Kayaks and bikes are available for guest use. Pontoon lake tours and electric bicycles may be available for an additional fee.
